Executive Director, Manufacturing and Supply Chain Division at CEPI

Background

Dr. Amadou Sall joined CEPI June 2025, as Executive Director of the Manufacturing & Supply Chain Division. In this role, he leads efforts to strengthen regional manufacturing and supply chain resilience worldwide, facilitating equitable access for those most in need and advancing CEPI’s 100 Days Mission.

Experience

Previously, Dr. Sall held the position of CEO at Institut Pasteur de Dakar and served as Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Arboviruses and Viral Haemorrhagic Fever. He has participated as a member of several expert committees for the WHO and OIE and has taken on numerous leadership roles, including Chair of the Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network (GOARN), Commissioner of the Africa CDC Pandemic Preparedness Prevention and Response Committee, and co-chair of the COVID-19 laboratory technical working group at Africa CDC. Additional appointments include membership in the African Union/Africa CDC Joint Continental Strategy for COVID-19 Steering Committee, the Senegalese Committee for COVID-19, and serving as chairman of the Pasteur Network.

Expertise

A virologist with a PhD in Public Health, Dr. Sall is recognised as an expert in epidemic response and control.
